Meet Shilpa
Hi there, I'm Shilpa! As a Certified Nutrition Specialist, I work to empower individuals and help them recognize the importance of nutrition and exercise in living a long and healthy life.

Originally trained in homeopathic medicine, my interest in human nutrition arose when my mother was diagnosed with diabetes. As I watched her struggle to manage her blood sugar, I realized that medicine alone can’t heal—the prescriptions and pills needed to be supported with nutrients that could only be gained from food. Following my bachelor’s, I pursued a Masters in Human Nutrition at the University of Bridgeport, delving deeper into human physiology and biochemistry to gain a deeper understanding of how the body is affected by food choices.

As I learned more about the power of food, I was able to help my mother regulate her diabetes, realizing that I enjoyed helping people lead better lives, despite their health conditions. With my extensive background, I knew I could use food to not only manage conditions and diseases, but prevent the development of chronic illnesses as well. Over the years, I’ve provided nutritional support for various chronic diseases, diabetes, gastrointestinal issues, as well as cardiovascular and metabolic disorders.
Today, I work with people to help them achieve their goals in effective and practical ways, whether it be improving their gut health or managing blood pressure

Aside from nutrition, I enjoy gardening, hiking, and visiting national parks with my family. I love spending my free time learning about the environment and traditional cooking practices from around the world.
